In Q2 2023, the top five navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Qatar showcased diverse performance trends. Here’s a detailed look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, published by Waze from Israel, saw a steady stream of downloads. Weekly downloads ranged from approximately 3K to 4.7K, with a peak during the week of April 17 at around 4.7K. Active users hovered around 71K to 73K, maintaining a relatively stable user base throughout the quarter.

Google Earth, by Google LLC, experienced fluctuating download numbers. Downloads varied between 578 and 856 per week, with the highest spike in the week of May 22 at about 856. Active users showed a consistent pattern, staying between 3.3K and 3.9K, indicating a stable engagement with the app.

TerraNavios, developed by Basic Bezej, had a notable increase in downloads mid-quarter. Downloads surged to 1.5K in the week of April 24 and peaked at 2K during the last week of June. This app, however, had no available active user data.

Qaddress QATAR, from Ahmad Shaman Al-Ani, showed a progressive rise in weekly downloads, reaching its highest at 828 in the week of May 22. The app maintained a consistent download rate, staying between 491 and 824 per week across the quarter.
